Ingredients
Scale
1 large head cauliflower
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For Serving (Optional): Lemon wedges, fresh parsley
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
Carefully slice the cauliflower head vertically into two thick steaks, about 1 inch thick each. Reserve the remaining florets for another use.
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Brush both sides of each cauliflower steak generously with the spice mixture.
Place the seasoned steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd.
Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping the steaks halfway through cooking.
Cook until the edges are deeply browned and the cauliflower is tender inside and crispy on the outside.
Remove from the air fryer. Serve immediately with a squeeze of fresh lemon and a sprinkle of parsley if you wish.
Notes
Slice carefully to keep the steaks intact. A sharp knife helps here.
For extra crispiness, you can lightly dust the steaks with a small amount of rice flour after oiling.
Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of your steaks.
