Enjoy crispy, flavorful chicken wings without the deep-fry mess! These Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Wings are coated in a rich, buttery garlic and Parmesan sauce for a delicious appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken wings completely dry with paper towels. This is key for crispiness.
  2. In a bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the wings in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 18-20 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. While the wings are cooking, prepare the sauce. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  7. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
  8. Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl.
  9. Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the hot wings and toss gently to coat them evenly.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, you can toss the wings with 1 teaspoon of baking powder (aluminum-free) along with the salt and pepper before air frying.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic and Parmesan to your preference.
  • If you don’t have fresh parsley, you can use dried parsley, but use a smaller amount.
