Ingredients
Scale
4 large Russet potatoes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Wash and dry the potatoes completely. Do not peel them.
Cut the potatoes into even wedge shapes, about 1/2 inch thick.
In a large bowl, toss the wedges with olive oil until lightly coated.
In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Sprinkle the spice mixture over the wedges and toss again until all wedges are evenly seasoned.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned wedges in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
Air fry for 15 to 18 minutes, shaking the basket vigorously halfway through the cooking time.
Check for desired crispness. If they need more color or crunch, cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure your potatoes are completely dry before tossing with oil; moisture prevents crisping.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; this steams the potatoes instead of crisping them.
For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning blend.
These wedges pair wonderfully with burgers or your favorite dipping sauce.
