Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup (or other liquid sweetener)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or other plant-based milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a food processor.
  2. Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt to the food processor.
  3. Process until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  5. Spoon the mousse into individual serving dishes.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure your avocados are very ripe for the creamiest texture.
  • You can substitute other liquid sweeteners like agave nectar or date syrup.
  • For a richer chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
  • Garnish with fresh berries or a sprinkle of cocoa nibs if desired.
