Ingredients
Scale
12 large jalapeño peppers
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
12 slices bacon, cut in half
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the jalapeño halves.
Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with a half-slice of bacon. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
Place the poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the jalapeños are tender.
Broil for the last 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness, watching carefully to prevent burning.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For milder poppers, remove more seeds and membranes from the jalapeños.
You can grill these poppers over medium heat until the bacon is cooked through and crispy.
Experiment with different cheeses like Monterey Jack or pepper jack for added flavor.
