Prepare a flavorful, slightly spicy, and creamy salmon salad using a homemade Bang Bang sauce. This recipe works well served cold or warm.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for lighter version)
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the salmon until done. Flake the salmon into medium-sized pieces and place it in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, sweet chili sauce, lime juice, and sesame oil to create the Bang Bang sauce.
  3. Pour the sauce over the flaked salmon.
  4. Add the chopped celery, red onion, and cilantro to the salmon mixture.
  5. Gently fold all ingredients together until the salmon is evenly coated. Do not overmix.
  6. Season with salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Serve immediately warm, or chill for at least 30 minutes for best flavor before serving cold.

Notes

  • For a low-carb option, serve this salad in large lettuce cups or over mixed greens.
  • You can cook the salmon using baking, air frying, or poaching methods before flaking it.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, reduce the lime juice slightly.
