Ingredients
Scale
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped pecans or walnuts for topping
Instructions
In a jar or container, combine rolled oats, milk, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Stir well to ensure no clumps of chia seeds or oats remain.
Gently fold in the blueberries.
Cover the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
In the morning, stir the oats. If they are too thick, add a splash more milk.
Top with additional blueberries and nuts if desired.
Serve chilled and enjoy your pie-flavored breakfast!
Notes
You can use any type of milk you prefer, such as almond, soy, or oat milk.
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup.
For a thicker consistency, use less milk or more chia seeds.
If using frozen blueberries, they will thaw overnight and release their juices, creating a lovely color and flavor.
