- 4 ears fresh corn, husks removed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
- Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil.
- Gently place the corn ears into the boiling water.
- Cook the corn for 4 to 6 minutes until the kernels are tender.
- Carefully remove the corn from the water using tongs.
- Place 1 tablespoon of butter on each ear of corn.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper over the buttered corn.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For grilled corn, brush the cooked corn lightly with oil before grilling over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
