You will love this ultimate creamy Chicken Bubble Biscuit Bake Casserole. It is the perfect easy weeknight comfort food, featuring tender shredded chicken in a rich, cheesy sauce, topped with fluffy, pull-apart biscuit pieces. It comes together fast and feeds the whole family.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie works great)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (e.g., Grands), cut into quarters

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and sour cream until smooth.
  3. Stir in the parsley, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Fold in the shredded chicken and 1 cup of cheddar cheese until everything is well combined in the creamy sauce.
  5. Pour the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Arrange the quartered biscuit pieces randomly over the top of the chicken mixture, leaving small gaps between them so they can expand and ‘bubble up’ while baking.
  7. Sprinkle an additional handful of cheddar cheese over the exposed biscuit tops.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly around the edges and the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. You can pull the biscuits apart easily.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use rotisserie chicken for immediate use.
  • If you prefer a sharper cheese flavor, substitute Monterey Jack with sharp white cheddar.
  • You can add 1/2 cup of frozen peas and carrots to the chicken mixture for extra vegetables.
  • If the biscuits start browning too quickly, loosely tent the dish with aluminum foil for the last 10 minutes of baking.
