You can make the famous sweet and creamy Grape Salad from Chicken Salad Chick right in your own kitchen. This copycat recipe delivers juicy grapes coated in a rich, cream cheese-based dressing, topped with crunchy pecans and brown sugar. It is a perfect, easy side dish for potlucks or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 pounds seedless grapes (a mix of red and green works best)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Place the grapes in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely combined and creamy.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all the grapes are evenly coated.
  5. Spread the grape mixture into a serving dish.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar. Sprinkle this topping evenly over the grape salad.
  7. Cover the dish and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.

Notes

  • For the best texture, make sure your grapes are completely dry before mixing them with the dressing.
  • You can prepare the grape salad base one day ahead of time; just add the pecan and brown sugar topping right before serving.
  • If you want a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
