These Churro Cheesecake Bars are a delightful mashup of classic churros and creamy cheesecake, made easy with crescent dough. They deliver the sweet, cinnamon-sugar flavor of fairground treats and rich cheesecake in a simple bar format, perfect for impressing without the hassle.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form an even crust.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent roll crust.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Stir until well mixed.
  6. Crumble the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the cheesecake filling is set.
  8. Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For an extra churro flavor, you can sprinkle a little more cinnamon sugar on top after they have cooled slightly.
  • Make sure your cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth filling.
