Prepare the ultimate crowd-pleasing chili cheese dip using just three simple ingredients. This recipe is perfect for Game Day, parties, or any gathering where easy, warm appetizers are needed. You can make this quickly on the stovetop or keep it warm in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (10 oz) package Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 (15 oz) can chili (no beans preferred, or use your favorite canned chili)
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  1. Combine the Velveeta cheese, chili, and softened cream cheese in a medium saucepan or a small slow cooker insert.
  2. If using the stovetop, heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until the cheeses are completely melted and the mixture is smooth and combined. Do not boil.
  3. If using a slow cooker, set it to low. Stir every 15 minutes until smooth, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving dish. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For a slow cooker option, keep the dip on the ‘Keep Warm’ setting during your event.
  • If you prefer a spicier dip, add a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of cayenne pepper with the other ingredients.
  • This dip pairs wonderfully with sturdy tortilla chips, pretzels, or celery sticks for dipping.
