Make this quick, creamy cinnamon honey butter at home in under five minutes. It tastes just like the famous restaurant spread and is perfect for rolls, toast, or pancakes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place the softened butter into a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add the powdered sugar, honey, cinnamon, and vanilla extract to the bowl.
  3. Using an electric mixer on medium speed, beat the ingredients together until the mixture is light, fluffy, and completely combined, about 2 minutes.
  4. Stop the mixer and scrape down the sides of the bowl. Beat for another 30 seconds to ensure a smooth texture.
  5. Transfer the cinnamon butter to an airtight container or shape it into a log using plastic wrap.
  6. Chill for at least 15 minutes before serving for a firmer texture, or serve immediately for a softer spread.

Notes

  • For a Brown Sugar Cinnamon Butter variation, substitute the powdered sugar with 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar and omit the honey.
  • For a plain Cinnamon Butter (no honey), use 1/2 cup powdered sugar and increase the cinnamon to 1 1/2 tablespoons.
  • If you do not have an electric mixer, you can use a sturdy whisk or a wooden spoon, but mixing time will increase to about 5 minutes.
  • This butter keeps well in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
