- 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean surface. Press the seams together to form one large rectangle.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border on one long edge.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the pepperoni slices.
- Starting from the long edge opposite the border, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam closed.
- Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 12 equal rounds, about 3/4 inch thick.
- Place the pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush this mixture lightly over the tops of the pinwheels.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute puff pastry or pizza dough for the crescent rolls, adjusting baking time as needed.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of dried oregano over the cheese before rolling.
- These can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 4 hours before baking.
