Make your holiday table shine with these Festive Turkey Cranberry Meatballs. They offer a wonderful blend of savory turkey and bright, tart cranberry, perfect as an appetizer or a main course addition. You will love how easy they are to prepare and serve.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, gently combine the ground turkey, chopped cranberries, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, thyme, salt, and pepper. Do not overmix.
  3. Roll the mixture into uniform, bite-sized meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and no longer pink inside.
  5. While the meatballs bake, whisk together the cranberry sauce, brown sugar, and balsamic vinegar in a small saucepan. Heat gently over low heat until smooth and slightly thickened into a glaze.
  6. Remove the meatballs from the oven. Toss them gently in the warm cranberry glaze until fully coated.
  7. Serve immediately as a festive appetizer or over rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • For a deeper flavor, you can substitute half the ground turkey with ground pork.
  • If serving as an appetizer, secure meatballs with toothpicks after glazing.
  • You can make these meatballs ahead of time and reheat them just before serving.
