Make this incredibly creamy frozen hot chocolate in under five minutes using just three simple ingredients. It is the perfect cold, refreshing chocolate drink for summer or a quick dessert treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk (whole milk works best for creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup hot chocolate mix (use your favorite brand)
  • 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Chocolate syrup or curls, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the milk, hot chocolate mix, and ice cubes into your blender.
  2. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and thick, resembling a frosty shake. This should take about 30 to 60 seconds.
  3. Taste the mixture. If you prefer it sweeter, add a small amount of sugar or a drizzle of chocolate syrup and blend again briefly.
  4. Pour the creamy frozen hot chocolate immediately into tall glasses.
  5. Top generously with whipped cream and finish with chocolate syrup or chocolate curls for the best presentation. Serve right away.

Notes

  • For an extra decadent, copycat-style frozen hot chocolate, substitute 1/4 cup of the milk with chocolate fudge sauce before blending.
  • If you want a thicker consistency, reduce the amount of milk slightly or add a few more ice cubes.
  • This recipe is kid friendly, but adults can add a splash of coffee liqueur or peppermint extract for a grown-up version.
