Ingredients
Scale
1 lb broccoli florets
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the broccoli florets in a large bowl.
Drizzle the olive oil over the broccoli. Add the minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the broccoli is evenly coated.
Spread the seasoned broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Roast for 15 minutes.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the broccoli.
Return the broccoli to the oven and roast for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden and the broccoli is tender-crisp.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispiness, you can toss the broccoli with the Parmesan cheese during the last 5 minutes of cooking instead of the last 5-7 minutes.
If you prefer a softer texture, increase the initial roasting time by 5 minutes before adding the cheese.
You can substitute nutritional yeast for Parmesan cheese if you need a dairy-free option.
