Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 cup Coca-Cola
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine Coca-Cola, soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Add chicken thighs to the bowl and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Remove chicken from marinade, discarding the excess marinade. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Grill chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
During the last few minutes of grilling, you can brush the chicken with any reserved marinade (ensure it has been boiled to kill bacteria) for an extra sticky glaze.
Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a deeper flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
Ensure any marinade used as a glaze is boiled for at least 5 minutes to ensure it is safe to consume.
Boneless, skinless chicken breasts can be used, but adjust grilling time as they cook faster.
