Ingredients
Scale
2 tuna steaks (6 oz each)
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
In a shallow dish, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, sesame oil, and black pepper.
Place the tuna steaks in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Remove the tuna steaks from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
Grill the tuna steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer depending on your desired doneness.
Let the tuna steaks rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
You can also pan-sear the tuna steaks if you don’t have a grill.
Serve with rice and steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
