Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Hot sauce (like Sriracha or chili garlic sauce)
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes (adjust to your heat preference)
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 ounces Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, oregano, and garlic powder to create the hot honey glaze. Set aside about 2 tablespoons of the glaze for basting later.
  3. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the chicken in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the chicken.
  5. Pour the majority of the hot honey glaze over the chicken, making sure to coat each piece well.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove the dish from the oven. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese evenly over the tops of the chicken breasts.
  8. Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 3-5 minutes, just until the feta is slightly softened and warmed through. Do not let the feta burn.
  9. Remove from the oven. Drizzle the reserved 2 tablespoons of hot honey glaze over the feta.
  10. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the glaze mixture.
  • If your chicken breasts are very thick, you may want to pound them to an even thickness for consistent cooking.
  • This pairs wonderfully with roasted vegetables or a simple side salad.
  • Chef Tariq suggests letting the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving to keep the juices locked in.
