8 cups apple cider
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cinnamon stick
4 whole cloves
2 star anise
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1 orange, sliced
Instructions
Combine apple cider, brown sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, star anise, nutmeg, and allspice in a large pot.
Add the orange slices to the pot.
Heat the mixture over medium heat until simmering. Do not boil.
Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for at least 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
