Make this Mango Mint Iced Green Tea for a wonderfully refreshing summer drink. This recipe combines the bright flavor of mango with cool mint and light green tea. It is easy to prepare and perfect for a hot afternoon.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups brewed green tea, chilled
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen mango chunks
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, packed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: Extra mint sprigs and mango slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew your green tea according to package directions. Let it cool completely, then chill it in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  2. Combine the chilled green tea, mango chunks, mint leaves, lime juice, and simple syrup in a blender.
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth.
  4. Taste the mixture. Add more simple syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
  5. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any remaining mint or mango pulp. Press down on the solids to extract all the liquid.
  6. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the mango mint tea over the ice.
  7. Garnish each glass with a fresh mint sprig and a slice of mango. Enjoy this cool treat immediately.

Notes

  • For a less sweet drink, start with just one tablespoon of simple syrup or skip it entirely if your mango is very ripe.
  • If you do not have simple syrup, stir 2 tablespoons of sugar into 2 tablespoons of warm water until dissolved, then cool before adding.
  • You can make a large batch ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to two days.
  • If you want a stronger tea flavor, use 5 cups of brewed tea and reduce the amount of mango slightly.
