Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint Cherry or Grape Tomatoes
  • 8 oz Fresh Mozzarella Balls (small, ciliegine size), drained
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Glaze
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Pinch of Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the cherry or grape tomatoes.
  2. If your mozzarella balls are larger than bite-sized, cut them in half.
  3. Thread one tomato onto a small toothpick or appetizer skewer.
  4. Follow the tomato with a folded basil leaf.
  5. Add one mozzarella ball onto the skewer.
  6. Arrange the assembled bites on a serving platter.
  7. Drizzle the olive oil lightly over all the bites.
  8. Sprinkle with a small pinch of salt and pepper.
  9. Finish by drizzling the balsamic glaze over the skewers just before serving.

Notes

  • Use the smallest mozzarella balls available for the best fit on a small skewer.
  • You can substitute balsamic glaze with a mix of balsamic vinegar and a touch of honey if you do not have glaze.
  • Prepare the ingredients ahead of time, but assemble just before serving for the freshest taste.
