Create a delightful and festive Pink Peppercorn White Chocolate Bark. This simple recipe delivers a beautiful contrast of sweet white chocolate and the subtly spicy, floral notes of pink peppercorns. It is perfect for gifting or enjoying as a fun treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces good quality white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon pink peppercorns, lightly crushed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the white chocolate using a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until smooth.
  3. Stir the vanilla extract into the melted chocolate, if using.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread it evenly into a thin layer, about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Immediately sprinkle the lightly crushed pink peppercorns evenly over the surface of the chocolate. Gently press them in slightly so they adhere.
  6. Place the sheet in the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes, or until the bark is completely firm.
  7. Once firm, break the bark into irregular pieces.
  8. Store the bark in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Crush the pink peppercorns gently with the back of a spoon or in a mortar and pestle; you want texture, not powder.
  • Use high-quality white chocolate for the best melting and flavor results.
  • You can substitute milk or dark chocolate for a different flavor profile, though the visual contrast with the pink peppercorns will lessen.
