Ingredients
Scale
1 ball (14 ounces) pizza dough, room temperature
1/2 cup pizza sauce or olive oil for base
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
8 ounces fresh burrata cheese, torn into pieces
4 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup fresh arugula (optional)
1 tablespoon balsamic glaze (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven and pizza stone or baking sheet to 475 degrees Fahrenheit (245 degrees Celsius). If using a stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
Stretch or roll your pizza dough to your desired thickness, about 12 to 14 inches in diameter.
Brush the dough lightly with olive oil or spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the base, leaving a one-inch border.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the base.
Carefully transfer the dough onto a pizza peel dusted with cornmeal or directly onto the preheated stone/baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Cooking time varies based on your oven and crust thickness.
Remove the pizza from the oven. Immediately arrange the torn pieces of burrata cheese evenly over the hot pizza. The residual heat will soften the burrata.
Drape the slices of prosciutto over the burrata. Do not return the pizza to the oven after adding the prosciutto and burrata.
Drizzle the honey evenly over the entire pizza.
If using, scatter fresh arugula over the top and finish with a light drizzle of balsamic glaze.
Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
Use store-bought dough for speed, or prepare your favorite homemade crust recipe.
Add torn pieces of fresh fig along with the prosciutto for a different sweet element.
For a richer flavor, substitute the pizza sauce with a thin layer of pesto.
Tear the burrata just before placing it on the hot pizza to keep it creamy.
