Ingredients
Scale
1 cup mixed raw nuts (pecans, walnuts, almonds)
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
In a medium bowl, toss the mixed nuts with the maple syrup until they are lightly coated.
In a small bowl, whisk together the smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Sprinkle the spice mixture over the syrup-coated nuts. Toss well to ensure the nuts are evenly seasoned.
Spread the seasoned nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Roast for 12 to 15 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the nuts are fragrant and lightly toasted. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
Remove from the oven and let the nuts cool completely on the baking sheet. They will crisp up as they cool.
Store cooled nuts in an airtight container.
Notes
You can adjust the smoked paprika amount if you prefer a stronger smoky taste.
Feel free to substitute different nuts based on what you have available.
For an extra layer of flavor, add a tiny pinch of cayenne pepper with the spices.
These nuts are best enjoyed within one week for optimal crunch.
