- 12 large eggs
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup finely chopped black olives
- 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 10-12 minutes.
- Drain eggs and immediately plunge into ice water to stop the cooking.
- Peel eggs and slice in half lengthwise.
- Scoop out the yolks into a bowl.
- Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
- For the spiders: use the finely chopped olives for the body and place them on top of the deviled egg.
