Enjoy this delightful Strawberry Lemon Iced Tea, a perfect summer drink that offers a refreshing fruity twist on a classic. It’s an ideal alternative to coffee, bringing café-quality flavor to your home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 quart water
  • 4-6 black tea bags
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar, or to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh strawberry slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups of water.
  2. Pour the boiling water over the tea bags in a heatproof pitcher. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, or according to tea bag instructions. Remove tea bags.
  3. Add the sliced strawberries and sugar to the hot tea. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the strawberries to infuse.
  4. Strain the tea mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into another pitcher, pressing gently on the strawberries to extract as much flavor as possible. Discard the solids.
  5. Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water and the fresh lemon juice to the pitcher. Stir well.
  6. Chill the iced tea in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until thoroughly cold.
  7. Serve over ice. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and strawberry slices if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar to your preferred sweetness.
  • For a stronger strawberry flavor, muddle the strawberries before adding them to the hot tea.
  • You can use other types of tea like green tea or herbal tea if preferred.
