Ingredients
Scale
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of black pepper (to aid turmeric absorption)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 frozen banana (optional, for sweetness)
1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)
4 ice cubes
Instructions
Place the almond milk, turmeric, cinnamon, black pepper, chia seeds, frozen banana (if using), maple syrup (if using), and ice cubes into a high-speed blender.
Secure the lid tightly on the blender.
Blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
Pour the smoothie immediately into your favorite glass.
Enjoy this warm, supportive drink right away.
Notes
Always add a pinch of black pepper; it significantly increases the body’s ability to absorb the beneficial curcumin in turmeric.
Feel free to use any milk alternative you prefer, such as oat or coconut milk.
For an extra anti-inflammatory kick, add a small slice of fresh ginger root before blending.
This recipe is designed to be refreshing and cool, but you can gently warm the milk before blending for a traditional ‘golden milk’ experience (omit ice if warming).
