Make this simple, creamy whipped goat cheese dip quickly for an elegant appetizer. It pairs tangy cheese with sweet honey and crunchy pecans.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces fresh goat cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup toasted pecans, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the softened goat cheese, cream cheese, heavy cream, olive oil, salt, and pepper into a food processor.
  2. Process the mixture until it is completely smooth and light, scraping down the sides as needed. This should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Transfer the whipped goat cheese mixture to a serving bowl.
  4. Drizzle the top evenly with 2 tablespoons of honey.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped toasted pecans over the honey.
  6. Serve immediately with crackers or vegetable sticks, or chill for up to 2 days. Drizzle with more honey just before serving if desired.

Notes

  • To toast pecans, spread them on a dry skillet over medium heat and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often until fragrant.
  • For a holiday variation, substitute the pecans with toasted walnuts and add 2 tablespoons of dried cranberries to the top.
  • If you do not have a food processor, you can use a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, but you may need to beat the mixture longer to achieve a very smooth texture.
