Make these simple, no-bake protein balls using peanut butter and oats for a quick, high-protein snack perfect for meal prepping or post-workout fuel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or chocolate)
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed or chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons almond milk (or water)

Instructions

  1. Combine the rolled oats, protein powder, and ground flaxseed in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and almond milk to the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix everything thoroughly until a thick, uniform dough forms. If the mixture is too dry, add a teaspoon more liquid; if too wet, add a teaspoon more oats.
  4. Stir in the mini chocolate chips, if using.
  5. Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  6. Place the finished balls on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.

Notes

  • Store these protein balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For a refined sugar-free option, use pure maple syrup as the sweetener.
  • You can substitute almond butter for peanut butter if you have a nut allergy or preference.
