A simple recipe for making crispy, flavorful roasted broccoli with garlic and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  2. Place the broccoli florets on a large baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the broccoli and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Add the minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss again until the broccoli is well coated.
  5. Spread the florets into a single layer on the baking sheet. Do not overcrowd the pan.
  6. Roast for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the broccoli.
  8. Return the pan to the oven and roast for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy edges, use two baking sheets instead of one to prevent steaming.
  • If you prefer a brighter flavor, add 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice after roasting.
